In this Newspaper I wanted to make a comment on the relationship between classical artist signatures and the graffiti tags seen in many places today. I thought that this would be an interesting idea due to the clear contrast in how the two are treated, the artist signature is seen as something to be admired and cherished almost as if it is a piece of art in its own right, where as in clear contrast the graffiti tag which is by all means the same thing is discarded and destroyed being seen as vandalism. This book was originally designed as a response to David Bomberg gallery and the Sarah Rose collection, and I chose this theme of graffiti and signatures as all of the paintings are signed in one way or another, as well as the fact that there are so many locations covered in graffiti and tags in the surrounding areas, so I  saw this as an opportunity to celebrate both forms of art.
